Electric bills vary from family to family and season to season.
Comparing your electric bill to your neighbors is like comparing your grocery, telephone or gasoline bills. No two families are alike, particularly when it comes to electricity. Even if your homes and electrical appliances are identical, and you have the same number and ages of family members, your familys life-style goes a long way in determining your electric bills.
If you want to compare your bill, compare it to your last years bill for the same period. Take into consideration the weather and changes in your familys life-style.
If you believe your electric bill is higher than it should be, contact our office, we offer a booklet to help you monitor your electric usage. We, also, will come to your home and do an energy audit to determine if something is using more electricity than it should. We want to help you get the most for your energy dollars.
If you think your meter is inaccurate, WCEC will test your meter. There may be a small charge for this service. Meters are very accurate and rarely responsible for an increase in electric usage.
